Merging will result in 1 very healthy server instead of 1 mediocre + 1 dead server. My friend had to level on Angerforge cause he was late to the party. So you are not only going to struggle with reaching level 70 in time, but it will go slower for you once Northrend opens up as the buff gets removed just to add insult to injury.
